Paul Anderson Named to Tampa Bay Journal’s Power 100
Port Tampa Bay President and CEO Paul Anderson was again named to the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s Power 100 list, recognizing leaders who help shape the direction of Tampa Bay’s business community.
Under his leadership, Port Tampa Bay has strengthened its position as Florida’s largest and most diversified seaport through strategic investments, expanded trade opportunities and sustained regional economic growth.
Milestone Partnership with GLOVIS America Inc.
Port Tampa Bay welcomed the first Glovis ship, “Summit,” carrying 500 Kia vehicles from Mexico, marking a milestone in the growing partnership with GLOVIS America Inc.
The visit represents a new chapter for the partnership, which has moved more than 150,000 vehicles through the port since 2022. The occasion was commemorated with a plaque presentation aboard the vessel alongside the ship’s captain, highlighting the trust and collaboration that continue to support shared success.
Port Tampa Bay Hosts 2026 Anchor Ball
This past week, Port Tampa Bay hosted the 2026 Anchor Ball at T. Pepin’s Hospitality Centre, bringing the maritime community together for an evening supporting seafarers and students pursuing maritime careers.
Guests enjoyed dinner, music and dancing, along with silent and live auctions that raised funds for Tampa Port Ministries Seafarers Center and the Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation. M. Kelly Hendry was recognized as the recipient of the Captain James McKay Port Achievement Award, honoring her contributions to Port Tampa Bay and the local maritime community.
