Port Tampa Bay Highlighted in Inbound Logistics

Port Tampa Bay is featured in the latest edition of Inbound Logistics, where President and CEO Paul Anderson outlines the port’s growing role in Florida’s supply chain and national trade network.

As one of the fastest-growing and most diversified ports in the Southeast, Port Tampa Bay serves as a strategic gateway for shippers moving goods throughout Florida and the broader region. Located along the I-4 Corridor, the port provides efficient access to major population centers and distribution networks.

Supporting bulk, refrigerated, breakbulk and containerized cargo, Port Tampa Bay contributes an estimated $34.6 billion annually to the regional economy and supports more than 192,000 jobs.

Port Staff Strengthen Emergency Preparedness

Port Tampa Bay security, facilities and operations staff recently completed CPR, AED and first aid training to enhance on-site emergency readiness.

The session included CPR simulation exercises, instruction on the use of automated external defibrillators and hands-on response training for common illnesses and injuries. Continued preparedness ensures the port remains ready to respond quickly and effectively while supporting the safety of tenants, customers and visitors.

Port Tampa Bay Attends Governor’s Day Luncheon

Port Tampa Bay representatives attended the Governor’s Day Luncheon at the Florida State Fairgrounds, marking the official opening of this year’s Florida State Fair. 

The event brought together state and local leaders, business partners and community stakeholders, reinforcing the port’s role in supporting statewide economic development and trade.

“Bananaland at Sea” Cruise Departs Tampa

Port Tampa Bay recently sent off passengers aboard the “Bananaland at Sea” cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line as it departed for Cozumel.

The themed sailing, featuring the Savannah Bananas baseball team (who recently sold out Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium), highlights the continued diversification and growth of Tampa’s cruise offerings and the port’s ability to support dynamic passenger experiences.

Reminder: Port Tampa Bay Invitational Golf Tournament Set for April 24

Port Tampa Bay and its partners will host the 12th Annual Port Tampa Bay Invitational Golf Tournament on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Eagles Golf Club in Odessa, Florida.

The four-person scramble format will include on-course contests and interactive elements, concluding with lunch and an awards ceremony.

Proceeds from the tournament benefit Tampa Port Ministries’ Tampa Seafarers Center and the Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation, supporting maritime workforce development and seafarer services.
