Port Tampa Bayslam Fishing Tournament

Port Tampa Bayslam: Friday November 7, 2025

Similar to Port Tampa Bay’s Golf Tournament and Anchor Ball, the Port Tampa BaySlam tournament will be a fundraiser for the following causes:

Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation:

Investing in the Next Generation

The maritime industry is demanding, rewarding, and vital to West Central Florida’s future. Unfortunately, for many students, the cost of training can be a barrier. The Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation proudly breaks down those barriers by supporting high achieving graduates of Hillsborough County’s Maritime Technology Programs at Thomas Jefferson High School Magnet Honors Maritime Academy and other public institutions.

With meaningful scholarships, talented young people can pursue postsecondary education and launch successful maritime careers. It’s a way of investing in the next generation of leaders who will keep Tampa Bay strong, competitive, and connected to the world.

Tampa Port Ministries – Tampa Seafarers’ Center:

Serving Those Who Keep Us Moving

Life at sea can be difficult. Seafarers spend long stretches away from home, somewhat isolated, and with limited access to everyday services. That’s where Tampa Port Ministries steps in. It proudly provides for the physical, social, and spiritual needs of the men and women who keep global trade moving.

During the COVID19 pandemic, the Seafarers’ Center became a lifeline, delivering more than 2,000 vaccines to maritime workers from around the world. That sparked an idea, a partnership. Now, in a first of its kind health clinic right on port property, the USF College of Nursing is ensuring visiting seafarers get the care they deserve.

Port Tampa Bay is more than a port; it’s a community that takes care of its people.
