Tampa, Fl. – This morning, Port Tampa Bay will be hosting its annual Hurricane Preparedness Tabletop Exercise. This is one of many choreographed exercises to best prepare all Tampa Bay area agencies for all possible scenarios.

Tampa, Fl. – The vessel “Glory”, which originally left Port Tampa Bay on April 8th stocked with everything from school and personal hygiene supplies to food, is finally on its way to Puerto Rico.

Tampa, Fl. – On Sunday, April 29, 100 Tampa-area military couples will enjoy a day aboard Carnival Cruise Line’s Carnival “Miracle” docked at Port Tampa Bay, in an effort to help recently-deployed military and their families reintegrate back home.

Tampa, Fl. – Port Tampa Bay is celebrating one of the largest ships ever to call at the Port, Vulcan Materials Company’s newest vessel, M/V Ireland. Ireland arrived at Port Tampa Bay this morning, after its departure from a China shipyard, and a stop in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula to load its first shipment of limestone for delivery in Tampa.

Tampa, Fl. – Port Tampa Bay hosted their fourth annual charity golf tournament to benefit both Tampa Port Ministries and the Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation. With the support of PTB volunteers, the port community and its sponsors, this year’s tournament raised $70,000; approximately $10,000 more than last year.

Tampa, Fl. – Port Tampa Bay is pleased to announce its selection by The International Association of Maritime and Port Professionals (IAMPE) as the Port Executive Management Center for the State of Florida.

Tampa, Fl. – On Sunday, April 8th a ship carrying a container of personal hygiene supplies departed Port Tampa Bay to Puerto Rico. The ship was loaded up on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Port Logistics Refrigerated Services (a cold storage facility company at the Port) with approximately 1300 boxes of shampoo, soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, food, school supplies, and notes of encouragement created by Tampa area children.

Tampa, Fl. – The German cruise ship MV Artania is at Port Tampa Bay – with it: 1478 passengers and crew (mostly German citizens) who are spending the day enjoying theTampa area.

Tampa, Fl. – In response to increasingly popular demand for cruises to Cuba from Port Tampa Bay, Carnival Cruise Line has added an additional 20 voyages to the Caribbean island in 2019.

Tampa, Fl. – Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Mr. Kaplan and the reappointment of chairman Stephen Swindal to Port Tampa Bay’s Board of Commissioners.

Tampa, Fl.— At Port Tampa Bay this past weekend, we welcomed six cruise ships in one weekend for the first time (3 ships Saturday, 3 ships Sunday), smashing previous records for passenger traffic. With our new improvements at Terminal 6, we are able to accommodate more passengers. During this past weekend, Mar 31st – Apr 1st, a record-breaking 29,167 passengers total went in and out of Port Tampa Bay (embarking and disembarking).

Tampa, Fl. – High cruise demand at Port Tampa Bay brings renovated cruise ship for year-long service to Cuba, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

Tampa, Fl. – Port Tampa Bay welcomes Stephen Fry as its new Vice President of Finance.
In this newly created position, Fry will oversee the Port’s financial records and reporting requirements. He will also
develop, monitor and manage the annual operating and capital budgets, the Port’s debt and investment portfolios, all
project grant funds, and the Port’s risk management program.

Tampa, Fl. – Carnival Cruise Line’s 2,124-passenger Carnival Miracle kicked off a year-round program of seven-day cruises from Tampa this past weekend, doubling the line’s capacity at Port Tampa Bay.

Due to popular demand, Royal Caribbean International is upgrading its service to Port Tampa Bay with a larger vessel that will accommodate more than 500 additional passengers during the 2018 summer season.
