Port executives and staff welcomed the 660-passenger luxury liner Azamara Quest at the port’s Cruise Terminal 2, on March 23, for a one-time port of call for the cruise season. Raul Alfonso, executive vice president and chief commercial officer, headed a small group of port staff to greet the captain and crew and engage in the exchange of commemorative plaques.

Port Tampa Bay and partner Port Logistics Refrigerated Services celebrate construction of new cold storage facility with a ceremony held 2/23 on Hooker’s Point in the Port Tampa Bay complex. The event, attended by a number of dignitaries including Florida’s Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam and many others, commemorates the construction of a brand new on dock, 134,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art cold storage facility for the import and export of food perishables.

Board Okays Lease Agreements with Logistec Gulf Coast and Berth Expansion at Port Redwing
At its regular monthly meeting today, the board agreed to an amended lease arrangement with Gulf Coast Bulk Equipment, Inc. (GCBE), a stevedore and terminal operating firm that has been a licensed operator at the port since 2015. The lease term for their five-acre property at Port Redwing is effective through February 28, 2021.

Port Tampa Bay today congratulates both the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday and Senate today on passage of a final water resources bill known as the Water Infrastructure Improvements for the Nation Act, or WIIN (S. 612). The terms set forth in the new legislation will help the U.S. build and maintain seaport/marine infrastructure with greater efficiency.
