Port Tampa Bay welcomes the Honorable Harry Cohen to the Board of Commissioners for the 2020/2021 term. Commissioner Cohen was selected as the representative from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and was sworn in during Port Tampa Bay’s Board Meeting on Dec. 15, 2020.

Port Tampa Bay releases 500 redfish donated by Duke Energy to restock the bay

Port Tampa Bay released 500 redfish into the Hillsborough Bay on Thursday to help replenish the ecosystem in area waterways.
The release was a collaboration among Port Tampa Bay, Duke Energy, and the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida (CCA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of Florida’s marine resources. The CCA led siting and permitting efforts for the fish release.

Port Tampa Bay has partnered with TAD Safe, a company that makes wearable temperature alert devices, to provide all of its employees with a device to monitor their temperature. TAD Safe is worn like a bracelet and has three indicator levels: green, amber, and red. Port Tampa Bay has partnered with TAD Safe, a company that makes wearable temperature alert devices, to provide all of its employees with a device to monitor their temperature. TAD Safe is worn like a bracelet and has three indicator levels: green, amber, and red. The device alerts wearers of body temperature changes to prevent the possible spread of viral or bacterial infections with 15-minute interval and on-the-spot readings. The devices are also water resistant, have a built-in USB charger, and a long battery life of up to 16 hours.
