TAMPA, Fla. – Port Tampa Bay has secured a deal with Integral Energy to bring a new fueling station that will include compressed natural gas pumps, a convenience store and restaurant. This week, Port Tampa Bay’s Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the construction.

Port Tampa Bay Charity Fundraising Events Grow in 2017
TAMPA, Fla.— Three major Port Tampa Bay fundraisers donated nearly $146,000 dollars to local charities in the Tampa Bay area this year. The Port Tampa Bay Golf tournament, Port Tampa Bay Anchor Ball, and the first-ever Port Tampa BAYSLAM Fishing Tournament donated these funds to Tampa Port Ministries, the Tampa Bay Maritime Scholarship Foundation, Florida Sports Hall of Fame Charities including Shriners Hospitals for Children, and Hurricane Irma relief efforts.
Terminal Change for Cruise Sailing on Saturday, November 4th
Passengers taking Royal Caribbean’s “Empress of the Seas” tomorrow will leave from Port Tampa Bay’s newly refurbished Cruise Terminal 6. Improvements to Cruise Terminal 6 have been underway for the past several months – they include a building extension to the terminal to accommodate larger capacity ships and facilitate passenger check-in.

Following strong response to its first-ever cruises to Cuba announced earlier this year, Carnival Cruise Line has added five more voyages from Port Tampa Bay featuring extended calls in Havana in 2018.

Port Tampa Bay announced this week that Jamal Sowell has been named director of special projects. Sowell, a former member of the United States Marine Corps, will support internal, external and special projects. He will also assist the executive team with management oversight and serve as a liaison on a wide variety of port business matters.

Port Tampa Bay, in conjunction with Tampa International Airport, today welcomed the arrival of the airport’s SkyConnect trains from a Mitsubishi factory in Mihara, Japan. Today’s historic event, which included more than 150 guests, represents the first Japanese cargo business exchange of this kind in the United States.
