USCG Hosts Housewarming for New Office at PTB Headquarters

This week the U.S. Coast Guard hosted an open house at the Port’s Joseph Garcia Building for maritime partners and members of the service. The Coast Guard entered into a lease agreement with Port Tampa Bay after their Davis Island office was damaged during the 2024 hurricanes. The USCG Sector-St. Petersburg Captain Corrie Sergent was in attendance, as were several port leaders including EVP and Chief Commercial Officer Raul Alfonso and VP of Operations, and retired Coast Guard Captain Matt Thompson. The USCG’s new office space is located on the second floor of the Joseph Garcia building and will help improve our already outstanding partnership and lead to streamlined communication between our two agencies.
