Port Tampa Bay Employees honored by Propeller Club

- Three Port Tampa Bay employees were recognized by the Propeller Club - Port of Tampa chapter during their annual Maritime Industry Night. The event celebrates individuals who work within the maritime industry and honors those who go above and beyond to make a difference in their field.

Vice President of Government Affairs and Board Relations, John Thornington, was selected for the Propeller Club's Mainstay Award. The honor celebrates his 38 years of dedicated service to Port Tampa Bay and the maritime industry overall. 

General Manager of Operations, Safety, and Training, Dennis Martin, was honored with the Dave Sessums Maritime Education Award which celebrates the legacy of Dave Sessums who advocated for maritime education programs in local high schools. 

Executive assistant of Government Affairs, Lynn Reece, was honored with the Unsung Hero award, which honors a person who works behind the scenes in support of their organization and contributes to its success.
