Port Tampa Bay Welcomes Newly Appointed Board Commissioner Harry Cohen

- Port Tampa Bay welcomes the Honorable Harry Cohen to the Board of Commissioners for the 2020/2021 term. Commissioner Cohen was selected as the representative from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners and was sworn in during Port Tampa Bay's Board Meeting on Dec. 15, 2020.

Commissioner Cohen previously served on the Tampa City Council from 2011 – 2019 (including Chair Pro Tem, 2012-2018, and Chairman of the Finance Committee, 2011-2019). Mr. Cohen also previously served on the boards of the Metropolitan Planning Organization (including Vice-Chair, Chair of Policy Committee, and Chair of Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Council); Straz Center for the Performing Arts; Opera Tampa; and The Florida Aquarium. In addition, Commissioner Cohen is admitted to the Florida Bar and has served as the General Counsel to the Hillsborough County Clerk of the Circuit Court as well as worked in private practice.

As we welcome a new County Commissioner, we would like to thank The Honorable Sandra L. Murman for her nine total years of dedicated service to the PTB Board. Commissioner Murman showed loyal dedication and leadership through her passionate interest in Port Tampa Bay and the port community as well as its impacts as the largest economic engine in the region. Commissioner Murman was dedicated to economic growth and job creation and we wish her well in her future endeavors.
